Here are the details on what will be my last live event for quite a while because I’ll be living abroad again.

It’s May 20-22

It’s about Sexual Awakening and clearing their anxieties and issues around the energy of women.  These rare events are legendary.  Testimonials on that page.

AwesomenessFest Recap

Recently I got back from AwesomenessFest in Costa Rica.  It was an amazing event however my camera was broken so I didn’t bring it.  I had my video camera but didn’t really use it.

I first heard of the event (before it was called this) when Vishen spoke @ Yanik’s Underground 6 where I signed up right away for the 2 for 1 deal.  Even though I started the name MindReel about 2 years ago, I’d never heard of MindValley or him until he spoke.  I was so drawn to his UG6 presentation that I joined others in the room after where they could sign up for this event without knowing all of the details.

(I also promoted it to several people during the following months through word of mouth and @ the T&C Summit which was the best content seminar I’ve been at)

It wasn’t until I was in the room talking with Kristina his wife and asked them where they met that I found they were also in AIESEC back in college.  It turns out Vishen and I had many of the same best friends in college!  We were probably even at some of the same parties.  He was at University of Michigan and I was at UW-Madison a year ahead.

With AIESEC’s strong pedigree of knowing how to work hard and play hard and me also getting into self-help this event was a must attend.  The event itself was WELL worth it yet dynamic.  Because I’m very experienced with energy and peak state experiences I know what is possible and had a lot of high expectations.  Many of the speakers I really learned some good stuff from or new angles and others not as much (but that’s to be expected).

Also, I guess when it’s your birthday you expect the world and more synergy but it was still nice (I missed the main event after b/c I was driving with my roommate getting lost on the way to town to pick up some items..sorry but I’m not paying $32 for every meal at the hotel and they didn’t even have an atm).  There was still good networking at the hotel after though.

As a producer/promoter myself things in reality almost never live up to my vision or expectation of what they can be (99% of niteclubs fail consistently) and that’s something I’ll be working on in the future: building and sustaining peak state and group experiences, pulling all of the elements together to make things legendary (like my house parties).  I’m only appearing critical b/c I expect that of myself (commitment to kaizen) and always asking ways to improve my own events and communication.

They definitely got it right much of the event far superseding most events.  It was DEFINITELY awesome and smokes most other events.  For some it might have been legendary but didn’t reach that level for me, I think in the future it can though.  I think everything will improve when people realize how much value I have to give that is off the charts..I’m working on communicating that and it felt like I was just another attendee (which is on me)..I expect more of myself.  For my followers, don’t worry we WILL be having our own events too.

I was very aware of what could be improved about the event and what was really great about it and I’m sure they’ll improve the minor discrepancies for the next event.  Overall though it was definitely amazing but the question that can be asked is ‘how can we create even more synergy amongst the attendees’?  I think they clearly worked harder at that than most events (the dancing lesson session was great) and delivered.

I really miss the strong interdependent bonds of AIESEC days.  That is where I really learned to value interdependence and all things international!

Most other events don’t compare and don’t have amazing side excursions and things planned.

I always get insomnia and burned out at long weekend events…if I don’t have my solo time to recharge I’m a dead stick towards the end (as it was here).  I was REALLY a dead stick Sunday morning after my joint Montreal event several months ago but the future events are going to be even more legendary b/c the synergy we had was off the charts.

The peaks that AFest did have were well worth attending alone for the cost and the caliber of people and networking was top notch.  Lisa Nichols gave the greatest empowering presentation I’d ever experienced and I’ve seen many.  To me that really mattered because of my vision for spreading the message of female energy liberation (and with natural grounding meditation).  She was very influential on the emotional level and open herself..that created more impact on everyone.

Also EXTREMELY powerful was ‘whispers’…MASSIVELY powerful…so powerful just the thought of it affects you.  I’d never seen or heard that before and it was amazing.  Ok THAT was legendary so was Lisa’s speech.  I block myself still in public (but not in private) about getting open emotionally.  I would have been a RIVER had I opened up in public during Lisa’s speech and whispers.

Another highlight was Devon having us do the 5 minute eye contact (I’ll talk about that sometime else).  On Saturday night I just had to have some solo time after Lisa’s speech and did some legendary natural grounding and then missed the buses so took a cab into Tamarindo.  That was a good night and people had to dress like pirates – even though I missed like the one free meal!  At least we had a hunk of ham in our fridge.

There was a lot of connection and sharing but nothing is as interdependent as it could be (with me being an idealist)…I was blocked from meeting some people and I could see that some people still had blocks or judgments about meeting me (maybe b/c I look too sexy or stylish and they can’t see through to the deeper infinite power I represent yet which is sometimes hard to communicate without ‘showing’ people shakti energy).

I’ve also learned some things from this event (and AIESEC) that I’m going to take to our own events.  Breaking down barriers of judgments, valuing the connecting of people more, etc.

Also since I’m new in self-help industry (although been preparing for years) and at this point not yet established it may have hindered some relationships from progressing so far but that’s how it goes.  I’m experienced at power networking and some relationships just take time.  Plant a seed…at least connect and it can develop further in the future.  This was great for that.

Finally got to meet Sean Stephenson in person even though we both spoke at Eben’s Man Transformation event in L.A.  He was one of the highlights as well.

I’d lived in Costa Rica earlier in the year for 5 weeks and this was all about the event in a beautiful, different location.  It was some great networking and relationship building.  I predict a successful recurring series they have here and I would definitely plan to attend future events, possibly even speak.  I’d give it 9/10 stars.
